DTI to present Philippine Business Registry program in CAR
Baguio City (8 September) -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), in partnership with the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), is set to hold an inter-agency meeting cum consultation on the Philippine Business Registry (PBR) Program today, 08 September at the PIA Regional Office.
The PBR aims to speed-up business registration process thru computerization and on-line registration with all concerned government entities connected to the system such as DTI, Securities and Exchange Commission, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Social Security System, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PHIC), and local government units (LGUs).
This is in line with President Benigno Aquino III's promise of positive change in the bureaucracy with streamlined business registration processes that cut down red tape and reduce the cost of doing business from the local up to the national level.
Program Manager Whilner Morales will present the PBR program which intends to facilitate a paperless and seamless transactional environment for business registration and development, to officials/representatives of concerned government agencies, LGUs and business organizations in the region, before it will be disseminated to the public.
The PBR interagency meeting in Baguio is the second to be conducted after Davao last August. (PIA) [top]
