CSC-XI personnel conduct charity mission
Davao City (7 October) -- The officials and personnel of the Civil Service Commission in the region, headed by Regional Director Annabelle B. Rosell, recently conducted a charity mission at Kibanban Elementary School in Barangay Sinawilan, Digos City.
In line with the month-long celebration of the 110th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary last month, the CSC-XI personnel together with the staff of Davao del Sur Field Office led by Director Erlinda Hofileņa held the charity mission on September 17, 2010 in the said school located at Sitio Kibanban.
The charity mission was an outreach program of the agency that aimed at sharing with elementary school pupils the things they need in school like ballpens, papers, notebooks, pencils and sharpeners. The agency also gave white t-shirts, toothbrushes and toothpastes and packages which contained used clothing, stuffed toys and plastic toys.
The recipient school of the charity mission, the Kibanban Elementary School has 157 pupils with only 4 teachers and one school head. There are only three classrooms which they call Marcos-type classrooms with one teacher observing multi-grade instruction.
The charity mission concluded with the turn over of one set of Britannica Encyclopedia and other school materials by Director Rosell and Director Hofileņa to the School Head, Generosa B. Ferrer. (CSC-XI) [top]
