Ph3.7 million ARISP 3 project launched
Davao City (19 October) -- A total of Ph3.3 million worth of farm-to-market road was recently launched at San Isidro, Davao Oriental with Mayor Edgar Flor V. Saulon and Prof. Juldastan Rasul, DAR XI Assistant Regional Director for Administration leading other provincial government officials in the groundbreaking ceremony held at Barangay Cambaleon of the said municipality.
Funded by the Agrarian Reform Infrastructure Support Project Phase 3 (ARISP 3) this planned concrete road construction is set to benefit the whole LACAMBITA ARC which covers four barangays: La Union, Cambaleon, Bitaugan and Talisay, Director Datu Yusoph B. Mama of DAR XI, revealed.
With a total length of more three fourth of a kilometer (.83 km.) the concrete road will start from the junction national high way up to Sitio Mananagat near the coastal line-dubbed as fishing agriculture area of the ARC, the project is a boon to the fishing industry and also expected to generate additional employment to the residents of the municipality, Mayor Saulon added.
Provincial Board Member Tina Yu and Provincial Agrarian Officer II Venchito S. Mandap acknowledged the manifestation of support of the barangay officials who came in full force to witness the launching ceremony program.
