BIR execs to meet gov't info officers in Bacolod
Bacolod City (19 November) -- Officials of the Bureau of Internal Revenue will speak Monday, November 22, on the agency's programs that aim to hike tax collection revenues of the country during the meeting of members of the Negros Association of Government Information Officers and Liaisons, NAGIOL at the Philippine Information Agency's office.
BIR Chief of Legal Division Lawyer Nenette G. Epon will discuss 'Oplan Kandado' and 'Run After Tax Evaders,' RATE, while OIC Head of Taxpayer Assistance Unit and bureau Information Officer Teresita Legaspi will tackle 'Premyo sa Resibo.'
More than 40 Public Information Officers from the different LGUs of the province and from National Government Agencies are expected to attend the activity.
The bureau embarked on an intensified nationwide campaign urging the citizens, companies and other taxpaying entities to pay their taxes as the new government of President Benigno S. Aquino III rallied the nation to a reformed and honest government that will spend for good cause every centavo Filipinos pay the government.
Armed with the solid support of the entire nation, President Aquino received a record-high trust rating of 85 percent enabling the BIR and other government agencies to gain ascendancy on its call to remit the right amount of financial dues to government collecting agencies with the president and his cabinet giving an example of simplicity and honesty.
