Army engineers to build classroom in Bohol

Davao City (20 November) -- A two-classroom building is to be built by Army Engineers in Barangay Matin-ao, Carmen, Bohol. Groundbreaking will be today at 2:00 PM.
The building is funded by the LGU of Bohol while soldiers form the Engineer Support Battalion of the 53rd Engineer Brigade under the National Development Support Command (NADESCOM) and troops from 802nd Infantry Brigade will construct it.
The project is worth P780,00 with 80 students as beneficiaries. The target date of completion is December 20, 2010.
The Operation Blessing Foundation will donate books, while the ABSCBN Foundation will provide school supplies for the school.
Two TV sets will also be coming from a non-government organization Tapok-Tapok and a satellite TV will be installed by One Barangay Incorporated.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry and NADESCOM will donate computers and other school equipment. (NADESCOM/AFP) [top]
