This search seeks to honor PNP personnel who have contributed outstanding police service and performance in crime prevention and solution, and who played part in ensuring good relationship and motivating partnership between the PNP and the community through the implementation of various peace and order programs and projects.
The COPS award which is now a career service award and is conducted annually, aims to recognize/acknowledge the excellent performance of four (4) Police Commissioned Officers (from Police Inspector to Police Superintendent) and six (6) Police Non-Commissioned Officers (from Police Officer 1 to Senior Police Officer 4).
In the previous years, PRO1 personnel namely, Police Superintendent Eric Noble and PO3 Arthur Melchor, Jr. (now a Police Inspector) won in 2009, and SPO2 Hermie S. Raymundo in 2010 respectively.
This year, winners will receive a COPS trophy, PNP Outstanding Achievement Medal and cash prize of P300,000.00.
Encouraging his men, PCSupt Orlando M. Mabutas implies that joining the search is not just to get the award/prizes but also a way of showcasing the best efforts of PRO1. (PIA-RO1/LU with reports from PNP-RO1) [top]
