GSIS conducts consultative conference for AAOs in Maasin City

Maasin City, Southern Leyte (7 October) -- The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), the state-owned pension fund for government workers through Regional Manager Vilma F. Mooney conducted a consultative conference with the Agency Authorized Officers (AAOs), Wednesday at the Governors? Office. Provincial Capitol here.
The AAOs who attended the half-day meeting were from the different government agencies in Maasin Area, from the town of Inopacan, in Leyte down to Macrohon in Southern Leyte. Another consultative conference was scheduled at Sogod Bay Area for the other parts of Southern Leyte, specifically in Panaon Island, Pacific towns and in Sogod Bay municipalities, Mooney disclosed.
Mooney said that GSIS wanted to clarify matters and address all concerns regarding each employees records, remittances, loan payments, to name a few, through the AAOs. "All issues whether pertaining to the agency as a whole or every employee?s concern should be e-mailed to the person in-charge particularly to the GSIS membership coordinator and must be copy- furnished at my end," she requested.
Mooney promised that the issues will be acted upon as soon as the records of the member will be completely submitted. "We are now an electronic-based system, emails and texts are most welcome," Mooney said giving her e-mail address and cellphone number to the participants.
Meanwhile, Mooney, then branch manager here at GSIS-Maasin further requested the AAOs to submit list of retirees 2 months before their retirement period, to prepare the member?s records and in order that their records will be reconciled earlier if service gaps will be seen.
GSIS has just revised and upgraded its billing program, Mooney told. She urged everyone to prepare the necessary data if anyone will encounter discrepancies or errors in their records, while she presented the forms A, B, C, D, and E for immediate resolution.
For, A, she said is for those list of employees with life and retirement premiums but without existing records; Form B is intended for the list of transferees/reinstated; Form C for the list of employees with salary adjustments for confirmation as to correct amount of monthly salary and effectivity date; Form D are list of employees with premium remittance for 2 consecutive months; while Form E are list of employees with changes or corrections in their personal data.
Mooney also encourages the AAOs to recruit not only GSIS members, it can be relatives or friends of the member to be part of the My Shield, Home Shield and Car Shield insurance of the GSIS with the lowest insurance premium rate. (PIA-soleyte) [top]
