BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (5 October) -- A local chief executive in Isabela is in high spirits as funds for the energization program in his town was already released my President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Mayor Renato Candido of Dinapigue town in Isabela said that soon, his residents would enjoy the benefits of total electrification after the necessary funding support for the project has been reported as released by Malacanang.

President Arroyo during her recent visit in Isabela made the ceremonial switching of the electrification project that would finally energize Dinapigue, a coastal town in Isabela.

Candido said the release of the funds would be a big breakthrough and a giant leap in alleviating the plight of his constituents.

"The province of Aurora supplies the power needs of Dinapigue. However, this is not enough to sustain the whole requirement of our town," Candido said.

The mayor said that with the release of the funds, the whole town of Dinapigue, including its remote villages would benefit much from the electrification project, thereby bolstering and enhancing the economic activities in their communities. (PIA NVizcaya) [top]
