PNP calms fears of bomb threats in malls

Quezon City (20 October) -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) dismissed reports circulating in text messages and e-mails on the alleged plan of extremist groups to bomb malls and other commercial centers.

"I would like to inform the public that the report on the said attack on malls and other Metro establishments is not true," Director Wilfredo Garcia of the PNP operations directorate said. (PIA) [top]
