CDO PPP goes to Balulang

Cagayan de Oro City (17 April) -- THE regular People to People Program (PPP) is set to visit Barangay Balulang, one of the progressive sub-urban barangays in the first district of Cagayan de Oro City tomorrow, April 17.

City Mayor Vicente Y. Emano, together with the members of the city council headed by Vice Mayor Michelle Tagarda-Spiers, will lead city hall officials and employees in the delivery of basic services to the people of Balulang during the whole-day activity.

During the PPP, residents in Balulang can avail of such services as free medical and dental consultations; circumcision; dispersal of seedlings of vegetables, fruit and forest trees; nutritional feeding; late birth registration; livestock dispersal; animal vaccination and treatment; real property assessment; reading of different books and magazines; issuance of community tax certificates, road repair, among others.

Another important feature of the PPP is the mass wedding ceremony where Mayor Emano will solemnize the wedding of unwed couples who have been living together for at least five years.

The PPP is a regular program of the city government that aims to reach out to the people in the barangays by bringing basic government services right before their doorsteps.

Meanwhile, the same services of the People to People Program will also be brought to barangay Tagpangi on Wednesday, April 18. (Cagayan de Oro City Information Office/PIA-MisOrOccCam i-Net) [top]
