Ifugao comes up with comprehensive, coordinated youth program

LAGAWE, Ifugao (6 October) -- In an effort to uplift the socio-economic condition of the youth and the Ifugao people as a whole, the provincial government here established a Provincial Comprehensive and Coordinated Youth Program.
Miriam Baguidudol, Chief of the Population Division here said that it is the policy of the provincial government to ensure that Youth Programs/Projects and other activities are designed to protect and promote the well being of the youth and geared towards making the youth effective and pro-active in the over-all efforts for development
"This will enable them to develop physically, morally, spiritually, intelligently and socially in a wholesome and normal manner and thus mold them into a healthy, upright, intelligent and useful citizen and potential community leaders, Baguidudol said.
She also said that the endeavor of the provincial government will be able to inculcate among the youth patriotism, nationalism and encourage their active involvement and participation to the fullest extent possible.
She also disclosed that the said effort will bring sustained linkages of all agencies/institutions involved in the implementation of youth programs, thus, eliminating conflicting policies, duplication of programs and wastage of provincial resources. (PIA-Ifugao) [top]
