CES strategic conversation brings CESB closer to clients

Tacloban City (October 11) -- The conduct of the Career Executive Service Strategic Conversation will bring the Career Executive Service Board closer to its clients, Executive Director Ma. Anthonette V. Allones informed.

A Strategic Conversation is scheduled to be conducted with the members of the Region Eight Administrators League on October 15, 2007 at the MacArthur Park Beach Resort.

Executive Director Allones, who will be accompanied by Deputy Executive Director Atty. Art Lachica, said that the activity is viewed as a very good opportunity to foster dialogue with the members as part of the CES Board's efforts to bring the services closer to the clients.

Lawyer Ma. Anthonette Velasco-Allones is the new head of the Career Service Executive Board. She has spent 17 years of her life with the Philippine Civil Service starting as a researcher and moving up the ranks to become the youngest assistant Secretary at the age of 30 serving the Department of National Defense.

She joined the Department of Labor and Employment as Assistant Secretary in August 2001 and has since managed various policy and program concerns until January this year. She briefly served as Deputy Chief of Staff for Political Affairs of Senator Mar Roxas at the Philippine Senate until end of July 2007.

Atty. Allones holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science form the University of the Philippines where she also finished her law degree in 1996. She completed her Master in National Security Administration at the National Defense College of the Philippines in 2000.

Last year, she graduated valedictorian of her Master in Public Management class at the Lee Kuan yew School of Public Policy National University of Singapore. She likewise completed her Lee Kuan Yew Fellows Program at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard university during the Fall Term in 2006. (PIA 8) [top]
