DTI grants seal of excellence to 15 Cordillera establishments

Baguio City (12 October) -- Fifteen establishments selected from among the provincial and city nominees will receive a Certified Establishment Seal from the Department of Trade and Industry-Cordillera.
The DTI-CAR office has identified as awardees C & Triple A Supermart, SM Department Store-Baguio, Baguio Holiday Supermart, 5 Cents Up Supermart, Tiong San Harrison Department Store, New Go Chu Commercial and Victoria's Supermart.
For the provinces, 456 Commercial, Tiong San La Trinidad and Pines Supermart will be the awardees from Benguet and T. Bayle Supermart for Kalinga, Coronet Aquino Grocery, New Commercial Trading and JECA Emission Testing Center will be the awardees from Abra. Likewise, the Kiangan Community Multi-Purpose Development Cooperative, Inc. is the only awardee from ifugao.
The DTI-Certified Establishment (CE) Program is designed to promote and foster the highest level of business ethics and uphold a fair and honest marketplace through voluntary self-regulation and service excellence.
The awardees were selected based on some guidelines that are in compliance with Fair Trade Laws, ISO 9000/14000 and those that are socially committed and responsible service providers.
Owners and representatives of these establishments will receive their silver or bronze awards on October 15, 3PM at the SM Atrium which will also coincide with the CONSUMERNET program.
DTI-CAR Regional Caretaker Carmelita C. Usman explained that the CE program is in line with their mandate to nurture, guide and protect both the consumers and the establishments from unfair trade practices. (DTI-CAR) [top]
