TESDA's scholarship, ladderized programs benefit 508 students in NVizcaya
BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (February 8) -- A total of 508 students have been benefited by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority's (TESDA) scholarship programs in 2007.
Rolando Manangan, TESDA officer-in-charge said the recipients of the 2007 President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo Scholarship program were 250 students under the Ladderized Education Program(LEP), 25 students who are taking up medical transcription course, 75 scholars on Shielded Metal Ore welding, 46 Professional Animation, 56 caregivers.
Since then, 25 students have graduated on medical transcription, 23 others have already finished welding course, 11 have completed animation course and more than 30 students have received their certificate of completion on care giving course.
The recipients of the scholarship and ladderized programs were enrolled at various training schools such as Prime Care, First Gate Training Center, NV Care Giver Academy, Saint Mary's University, Programming Language Technique College, Nueva Vizcaya State University Bambang branch, Eastern Luzon College and St. Dominic Academy.
This year, TESDA is currently working out with the P5 million fund which will be utilized for the screening of students in coordination with Representative Carlos Padilla. (PIA NVizcaya) [top]
