Davao City (13 February) -- As more and more locals are fleeing to Cebu and Manila to undergo extensive health operations, the Davao Doctors Hospital (DDH) has made it a point to hold these local patients especially those coming from the different parts of Mindanao and provide their health demands.
Recently, DDH purchased and operated a state-of-the-art Siemens Axiom Artis Cath Lab System, a cardiac diagnostic equipment that can detect whether a patient needs to perform Angiogram, Angioplasty, and Heart By-Pass.
"It's a P46 million worth equipment that we were able to purchase to upgrade DDH facilities in the hope of providing excellent service to our patients," said DDH President and CEO Dr. Dominador Cabrera as he led the inauguration of the new Cath Lab yesterday.
These new Cath Lab technologies are equipped with the most innovative solutions to increase productivity for hospitals and give physicians the precise patient information they need.
Also, it can provide outstanding image quality using cutting-edge digital flat detectors, and even allows to reduce radiation dose. It provides the most accurate details to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
The Siemens Axiom Artis Cath Lab System belongs in the top five complete facilities offered by the leading hospitals nationwide.
"We have upgraded our system and you can now see brand new machines and facilities in DDH. This has made our patients more confident in trusting our hospital and even retiring in Davao City," said Dr Bernard Chiew, Director of the DDH Heart Institute.
Chiew shared that most of the patients that availed of the services are "expats" who want to retire in Davao City. These retirees have always included health facilities to be part of the criteria in choosing the place to retire.
DDH continues to provide the best Heart Institute as it brings in state-of-the-art technology, highly competent staff, and personalized care. (PIA) [top]
