Foundation helps poor Nueva Vizcaya villagers

SOLANO, Nueva Vizcaya (February 26) -- More than 10,000 villagers in this town have received various medical assistance and oods from Bary Gusi Peace Prize Foundation Saturday inside the gymnasium in barangay Poblacion North here.
Mayor Philip Dacayo said they were very grateful for the commitment and dedication of the foundation to help indigent villagers in 22 barangays needing various medical and other assistance.
The foundation distributed various food stuffs, clothings, medicines, reading glasses, wheel chairs and medicines for free.
The foundation was also reinforced by the participation of at least 80 doctors who conducted minor surgeries, dental and medical examination among the patients.
Dacayo said the medical mission was initiated by the local government unit through judge Merianthe Zuraek of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) here.
"We thank the foundation because this is the biggest medical mission ever happened to our town. I hope they will do this again in the near future for the benefit of our constituents," Dacayo told PIA.
The medical mission was also supported by the Rotary Club of Makati and Adoracion Internationale de Abogados, an affiliate of Gusi Peace Prize Foundation among others. (PIA NVizcaya) [top]
