PGMA names Angeles as new CHED chairman

Manila (29 August) -- President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has appointed Emmanuel "Manny" Angeles, the chancellor of the Angeles University Foundation and former president/chief executive of the Clark Development Corp. (CDC), as the new chairman of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

This was announced this morning by Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Lorelei Fajardo who said the President signed Angeles' appointment last Aug. 20, 2008.

Angeles succeeds Romulo Neri, now the president of the Social Security System (SSS). (PIA-MMIO) [top]
