Cotabato City (15 October) -- Forty (40) participants composed of Early Childhood Education teachers and supervisors coming from different schools in Region XII have undergone a 3-day Regional Training sponsored by Basic Education Assistance for Mindanao on October 7-10, 2008 at Del Rio Splash Resort at Koronadal City.

The training which had workshops trained the participants towards better and effective teaching. There were also inputs on different skills in preparation of instructional materials. The training has also helped the participants by providing them a teaching experience in reading, language and arts for pre-schoolers.

Education officials present in this 3-day training to witness the program included Department of Education XII Regional Director Luz Almeda, Regional ECE Coordinator Susan Berba and Elementary Division Chief Pancho Balawag who also gave a welcome message during the first day of the training.

Modules, books and other instructional materialy were also given to the participants during the last day of the training. These educational materials are expected to be of great learning aids to be shared by the ECE teachers in achieving a standard early childhood education in the region.
