Kidapawan City seeks more patrol vehicles for police

ICC Kidapawan City (23 October) -- Pushing its campaign against criminalities and protection from incursions of insurgents the city government of Kidapawan is pursuing its plan to acquire more police vehicles to be used for surveillance and monitoring criminal activities in the city.

Kidapawan City Mayor Rodolfo Gantuangco said that the city government will ask the National PNP Headquarters for more pick up-type vehicles for the mobile force of the city police.

Just recently the city PNP received two more multi cab vehicles to strengthen its capability to respond to emergency situations and increase its visibility in critical areas in the city from a non government group led by DZMM station manager Angelo Palmones who hails from this city and supported by Cong. Emmylou "Sala" Talino-Mendoza.

Gantuangco added that the city government is also looking at the possibility of having a patrol car for every barangay.

Mayor Gantuangco further assured that the meager budget of the city PNP for the purchase of fuel and pair of vehicles will be given priority to make sure that peace ad order campaign shall be further strengthened. (EBC/CLC-PICC-Kid) [top]
