DILG-ARMM to launch official website

by Michelle Angelique Barcelonia

Cotabato City (6 November) -- The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), in collaboration with the local resource center, will launch its official website on November 14.

This project aims to improve accessibility of the local government units (LGU) and enhance the local governance in the entire region. The content of this website will only focus on the ARMM.

According to Acting Regional Secretary Hansarrudin Alonto Adiong, the official website of DILG-ARMM will contain all the necessary information about the local government units of the region. It is also envisioned to bring into the fore a database that will aid local government and national government instrumentalities and foreign agencies in the formulation of development plans in the ARMM areas which have long been wanting of the necessary socio-economic fundamentals to be in place.

This website is also created to have a fast access between DILG and all the local government units in ARMM. It will provide the people reliable and credible information and other data pertaining to the autonomous government and line agencies right at their own abodes even without going to the offices.
