Tagbilaran City (23 February) -- Reaping the golden harvest of the art in Bohol would be strewn for all to see at the foot of the historic Punta Cruz in Maribojoc February 27, 7:00 PM.

This as the Ani ng Sining, the National Arts Month theme, is carried by the Bohol Provincial Government through the Center for Culture and Arts Development (CCAD) with the Bohol Arts and Cultural Heritage Council blares a fervent climax of cultural extravaganzas extolling Bohol's creative genius.

Set in the historic watchtower of Punta Cruz, the culminating activity comes in a Dinner-For-A-Cause with the harvest featuring the Loboc Children's Choir under Alma Taldo, the Tubigon Lungsuranon Performing Arts Ensemble (LUPAE) from Holy Cross Academy under Dennis Walton Balbero, and the newly-launched Punta Cruz Cultural Collective performing the main event: the premier of Tawag sa Bantawan.

The dinner for a cause aims to pool resources for the ecological-cultural development of Punta Cruz, in collaboration with Maribojoc local government, Punta Cruz Environment Organization, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, and Bohol Alliance of Non-Government Organizations (BANGON).

The night cap, Tawag sa Bantawan is a collaborative project of the Punta Cruz Maribojoc Cultural Collective with Loon writer Reigh Monreal and Teatro Bol-anon Artistic Director Gardy Labad.

Tawag is a devised contemporary theater piece portraying the historical events leading to the construction of the historic watchtower perched on a promontory by Maribojoc Bay.

The community drama highlights dramatic monologues interwoven and essayed through the classical dance form from the South called the Pangalay.

Pangalay Choreography is by Ligaya Amilbangsa and Nanette Matilac, modern dance interpretation by Alfonso Corbeta, production design by Francis Sarmiento, video montage by Teddy Ramasola, lights design by Jerameel Decasa. Emmanuel Boc and Toto Cuhit provided acting training to the group.

The cultural collective was established to provide a dynamic and interactive component in the envisioned Punta Cruz eco-cultural tours under the banner program called Blessed Maribojoc.

The program is envisioned to help uplift livelihood in the area through eco-cultural initiatives. The project also aims to establish the Castillo de San Vicente Punta Cruz Watchtower as a national historical landmark establishing the significance of historic monuments in the province.

Both Governor Erico Aumentado and Maribojoc Mayor Leoncio Evasco Jr. have pledged sustaining support towards this direction.

Tickets for the culmination activity are at P300 inclusive of dinner by the scenic watchtower and the cultural shows.
