GenSan allocates P17.5-M budget for floodway project

General Santos City (18 November) -- The city has allocated P17,500,000.00 budget for the construction of the floodway project which will address occurrence of floods in low-laying areas of Lagao and Bula.

The floodway project will be constructed along Divinagracia street, Bula-Lagao, Arradaza street (from Sarangani outfall to National Food Authority) Barangay Bula.

Its plans and specifications was already approved by the City Council during its recent session. City Councilor Bing Dinopol, chair of the Infrastructure Committee authored the measure. (CPIO/jp aponesto/PIA SarGen) [top]
