Pag-IBIG 4-day housing exhibit opens in Negros Occidental
Bacolod City (15 October) -- The Pag-IBIG Fund housing exhibit dubbed "Housing Expo '07" formally opens today at the ground floor of St. Francis Center along Araneta St., Singcang, Bacolod City and will continue on until October 18, 2007.
Highlighted in the exhibit and all for sale are the discounted acquired assets of the fund and an assortment of house and lot packages of 20 subdivisions located in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental.
A total of 238 acquired assets of the Fund are available and up for grabs for members and non-members alike at the exhibit. For its acquired assets, the Fund offers a 20 percent discount to cash buyers and a 15 percent discount for installment buyers. The installment scheme can be done through Pag-IBIG housing loan under the "Magaang Pabahay, Disenteng buhay" program, which charges only six percent per annum interest at a maximum repayment period of 30 years.
Also available are house and lot packages of the private subdivisions with prices ranging from as low as P30,000 to P1,000,000.
The exhibit provides a one-stop shop for house and lot buyers/borrowers through on hand housing loan counseling, eligibility assessment, membership registration to non-members, and giving out of checklist of requirements by Fund employees and representatives of participating subdivisions.
The subdivisions present in the activity are the following: from Bacolod City – Meadows of Camelot and Camelot Village, Brgy. Estefania; Forest Hills Subdivision, Brgy. Mansilingan; Doña Carmen 2, Brgy. Alijis; Terra Nova (proposed), Brgy. Alijis; Charito Heights Subd., brgy. Granada; Providence Negros, Brgy. Granada; The Palisades, Brgy. Estefania; Country Homes Subd., Brgy. Estefania; St. Benilde Homes, Brgy. Mansilingan; East Homes Subdivision, Brgy. Estefania; Grandville III, Brgy. Mansilingan; Glendale Homes, Brgy. Granada; Goldland village, Brgy. Taculing; from Cadiz City – Bayview Homes; Villa Antonella and Grandville Cadiz; from Bago City – villa Cristeta Subd., and Villa Rosa Heights; from Victorias City – Villa Christina Subd., Phase 2 and from San Carlos City – St. John Subdivision.

San Enrique town gets assistance for skills training
Meanwhile, the Municipality of San Enrique availed a total of P150,000 assistance from the provincial government of Negros Occidental for its various skills training programs.
The amount will be used for training, such as High Speed Sewing for men and women, Hotel and Restaurant Services for Out-of-School Youth and skills training on Welding which will be conducted by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
