Tacloban City (February 12) -- The determination of truth and justice on the issues being investigations lies in the courts of law, not in the Senate which most of the time is emotionally-charged.

Senate, instead, should buckle down on its primary mandate, that of passing laws beneficial to the people.

The preoccupation of Senate in investigating "issues" has gone too far methink, to the extent that witnesses and invited persons, who are often times high government officials, are interrogated and to say the least, "treated more than criminals."at the expense of the Filipino people who has given its members the mandate of passing laws beneficial to the people.

As one media personality covering the Senate hearing commented, no matter how hard a few of the Senators hide under the so-called "in aid of legislation" reason, their true colors are revealed by the way they ask their questions. They want to put down the Administration thinking of the 2010 elections.

If some people believe they have a case at hand, then let them file it in the proper courts.

Justice requires that to lawfully constituted Authority there be given that respect and obedience which is its due; that the laws which are made shall be in wise conformity with the common good; and that, as a matter of conscience all men shall render obedience to these laws.

As to those who come out with exposes so that "justice will be served," at the expense of people they name-drop and who they malign, so that their conscience will be cleared, methinks, they have forgotten that justice does not come from the outside, it comes from inner peace.

As to those instigating the people to be angry at the Administration to the extent of calling for the President to step down from power, methinks, it is not only premature but is sowing disruption and disorder which nourish repression, not justice.
