ComVal braces up for 2nd BSP Provincial Jamboree
Davao City (23 October) -- It's all systems go for the October 24 to 26 2nd Boy Scout of the Philippines Provincial Jamboree in Compostela Valley province.
To be held at the Agro-Eco Tourism Center in Brgy. Pasian in Monkayo. More than 1000 Boys Scouts in the province are expected to join the 3-day jamboree, with Maco topping the list with about 160 Boy Scouts.
Gov. Arturo "Chiongkee" Uy and executive assistant Isabelo Melendres on Monday last week declared the Capitol's readiness for the event—one of the biggest for the Boy Scouts---during a final meeting with Jamboree Staff.
Gov. Uy has named Melendres as Camp Chief with Fernando Juab the assistant Camp Chief. Monkayo Mayor Manuel Brillantes is Camp Director with Joel Reterba backing him as assistant director. Roberto Padilla is deputy Camp Director for Administration; Rosita Macaraeg, deputy Director for Programs; and Dr. Jeorgie Arvin Legaspi, deputy Director Health and Sanitation.
General Services Officer Romeo Miranda would handle Logistics and Transportation; Peace and Order Security Officer going to P/Supt. Ronald de la Rosa; acting as Jamboree Marshall is Mr. Alfredo Comaingking; Allan Guerta as General Coordinator; Raul Timogtimog as Community Development Officer; and information officer Fe Maestre as Jamboree Balita Officer.
Giving their support to the biggest day for Boy Scouts in the province are Araceli Timog-timog and Engineer Cabellon of the Provincial Engineering Office and its employees; Dr. Rolando Simene ug Manolo Cayme of PAGRO and employees. (pgo-ids comval-PIA XI) [top]
