New employers register with Pag-IBIG Fund

Cagayan de Oro City (23 January) -- To provide easy access for local entrepreneurs to register their company and employees with Pag-IBIG Fund, several staff of the Cagayan de Oro Branch have been appointed to set up shop at the City Tourism Hall for the month of January 2007.
During the licensing process, the Marketing and Enforcement staff informs and explains the mandatory membership coverage under Presidential Decree 1752, as amended under Executive Order Numbers 35 & 90 and Republic Act 7742, thereby, encouraging business owners or representatives to comply and register as members of the Fund.
Applications for membership and payments for monthly contribution of employees plus employer counterpart are also accepted by the authorized representatives of Pag-IBIG Fund.
Brochures, leaflets and other reading materials are also distributed for the clients' perusal.
Presently, 163 self employed and 5 companies were registered in the Fund. P54, 559.76 worth of contributions was collected during its first week of service, from the newly registered and reactivating members.
Pag-IBIG Fund has been coordinating with the City Government of Cagayan de Oro for the enforcement of RA 7742 since 2002. Through such effort, Pag-IBIG Fund looks forward to an increase in membership level for the year 2007. (Pag-IBIG Fund) [top]
