Gov bares need for 3,000 grads for Bulacan ICT park project
City Of Malolos (1 July) -- "More jobs await for the Bulakenyo youth."
This was revealed by Bulacan Gov. Joselito Mendoza infront of thousands of students who graduated from the College of Information and Communication Technology of the Bulacan State University.
According to Mendoza, about 3,000 jobs will be allotted for the Business Processing Outsourcing and call center firm that are set to rise in the Bulacan ICT Park.
"Bulakenyos will no longer have to go to Metro Manila to work because they will soon have the opportunity to work here in the province," Mendoza cited.
One of the companies scheduled to build their facility in the said ICT park is the Philippine Long Distance Telephone (PLDT) Company.
The Bulacan ICT Park registered at the Philippine Economic Zone as early as last year, will be situated in the town of Marilao which is now considered a special economic zone. This means that the salary of its workers will be equal to other economic zones such as the Baguio City Economic Zone, Luisita Industrial Park and Subic Bay Freeport.
In line with this, a total of 300 Information Technology graduates will be hired by the Provincial Government of Bulacan for the general revision of the computerization of the entire capitol, particularly the Bulacan Satellite-Based Geographic Information System (SBGIS) Project. (PIA-Bulacan) [top]
