CSC-8 upgrades competencies of gov't staff on personnel administration

Tacloban City (19 April) -- Mandated to assist government agencies in their role to develop and retain highly competent and professional workforce in the public service, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Region 8 will conduct the Empowerment Program for Grievance Committee and Personnel Selection Board members on May 8-9, 2007.
The live-out seminar is aimed at enabling participants to understand better of the basic policies and the roles, functions and responsibilities of the Personnel Selection Board members, Grievance Committee or employees in-charge of personnel administration.
Targetted participants to this seminar are office personnel who were designated by the regional head to compose the Personnel Selection Board together with the employees-elected 1st and 2nd level representatives, Human Resource Management Officers, Administrative Officers, designated Grievance Committee members and employees involved in personnel administration.
CSC-8 is urging heads of government offices to send participants to this seminar for the benefit of their organizations.
The Civil Service Commission will collect every participant a training fee of One Thousand Eight Hundred (P1,800.00) Pesos to cover the cost for the two-day meals, handouts, venue rental and other incidental training expenses.
Venue for the training will be announced later by the CSC.
