Chevron slashes fuel by P1 per liter as well
Manila (29 April) -- Chevron Philippines, formerly Caltex, slashed the prices of its gasoline, diesel, kerosene and E10.
Antonio "Toby" Nebrida, corporate communications manager of Chevron, said they are equally implementing a P1 per liter price cut on their diesel, gasoline, kerosene and E10 effective 6 pm last night (April 27).
He said the price reduction reflects the downward adjustment in the world prices.
Monitoring conducted by the Department of Energy showed that as of April 24, the average price of crude in the international market was placed at US$ 50 per barrel, lower than the US$ 46 per barrel price average for the month of March.
Gasoline and diesel world prices were pegged at US$ 61 per barrel.
Earlier, Shell, Seaoil and Total announced that they will roll back by P1 per liter the prices of their petroleum products.
So far, only Petron Corporation, one of the oil major players, has not announced the possible price rollback. (PIA) [top]
