'Must buy' organic products on sale at Panaad Festival
Bacolod City (22 March) -- Negros Occidental Governor Isidro Zayco led provincial officials in the formal opening and ribbon cutting of the "Organik na Negros" Booth for the Panaad sa Negros Festival at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Brgy.Mansilingan in Bacolod City.
Among the "must-buys" at the booth are 'certified organic' and chemical free products like organic rice, vegetables, fruits and herbs as well as organic fertilizer and vermicast.
Also featured in the booth are processed food products on sale such as pickled seaweeds and fermented bulabid (anchovies) of Escalante, dried fish of Cadiz City, nata pickles of Sagay City, banana polvoron of San Carlos City, malunggay polvoron of Hinigaran and banana marbles of Pontevedra. These are produced by cooperatives being assisted by Office of Provincial Agriculturist.
Other products are all-natural wines of Victorias City, muscuvado sugar, fruit jam and atchara, bagoong of Pulupandan, organic personal care products, RU shredder, and food supplements, herbal teas and medicinal herbs.
