CA asked to hold dialogue over nursing controversy
Quezon City (25 October) -- The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) will ask the Court of Appeals to initiate a dialogue among all parties involved in this year’s nursing board exams leakage.
Dante Ang said he would file a petition before the appeals court, which had ordered a partial retake for over 1,000 examinees that had passed the test after the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) recomputed their scores following reports of a leakage on some portions.
Ang, who also heads the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), said that his petition was aimed at convincing the appellate court to hold a dialogue.
President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has also ordered Labor Secretary Arturo Brion to hold talks so as not to prolong the issue of a retake after several parties filed a motion for reconsideration before the appeals court, saying their action could delay final action.
Malacanang wants the retake held before the second nursing board exams are held on December 2 and 3. (PIA) [top]
