PIA Press Release
2007/04/24

TU bets remain intact, solid - Palace

Manila (24 April) -- There is no candidate substitution; the release of ex-Senator Gregorio Honasan is purely a judicial development.

Thus said Malacaņang clearing out all rumors clouting the senatorial line-up of the administration's Team Unity.

Accordingly, the administration's Team Unity is solid and would remain so until they win, as Team Unity was fielded as a team espousing unity for national stability and progress and they enjoy the strong support from the public because of unity and camaraderie among its members unlike the opposition who are seen as being fragmented.

Hence, no one is giving up his or her seat in the administration lineup.

The standing of the Team Unity candidates in the latest survey are improving with the support given by a large number of local candidates and constituents who are rooting for them and it has gained tremendous momentum going into the home stretch of the campaign. (PIA-MMIO) [top]
