Cebu City (1 July) -- President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will join the hundreds of families and relatives of the victims of the sunken MV Princess of the Stars in a mass tomorrow around noontime at the Information Action Center (IAC) inside the Cebu City Sports Complex (CCSC).
Mrs. Arroyo is expected to arrive at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Mactan Benito Ebuen Air Base (MBEAB) to be the keynote speaker of the 61st foundation anniversary of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) under the theme "Team Air Force at 61st: Proud of our Legacy, Soaring High in Service to God, Country and People."

After the President's message, a flower drop will be done in honor of the victims of the latest sea tragedy where over 500 passengers are still declared missing out of the 864 who were on board the vessel when it capsized off the waters in Sibuyan Island in Romblon. Slightly only over 50 survivors have been recorded while about 148 dead bodies have already been shipped to Cebu City for the identification process.
The flower drop will be a simultaneous activity at San Fernando, Romblon.
From MBEAB, President Arroyo will motor to the CCSC for the mass, again to honor the dead of the sunken vessel while the President will join the families and relatives for lunch at the IAC.
Families of the victims have been staying at the IAC since Monday, last week for the latest news on the whereabouts of their missing loved ones.
President Arroyo is expected to informally interact with the families and the relatives before departing back to Manila. (PIA-Cebu/FCR) [top]
