Marawi media undergo training for radio
Marawi City (10 July) -- The Marawi City Community Media and Education Council (CMEC) held today a one-day seminar workshop on basic journalism for Maranao broadcasters and information officers.
About 40 participants coming from various government agencies, schools, and civic organizations joined the training program.
The resource speakers included DXSO-Radyo ng Bayan Marawi manager Minalang Barapantao who delivered a lecture on broadcast ethics and reporting for radio. PIA (PIA) – Lanao del Sur manager Ricardo Dumarpa delivered a lecture on writing press releases while Prof. Ali Laguindab talked about the principles of communication.
The basic journalism training-workshop is in line with the 4th year anniversary celebration of the founding of CMEC and the DXSR-Salaam Radio station and it aims to establish responsible media practitioners who will serve as spokespersons of the local government units in the area.
