Photo release: PIA chief addresses educators

Manila (25 September) -- Secretary Conrado A. Limcaoco Jr, Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Director-General, recently challenged participants in the National Literacy Conference at the Heritage Hotel in Manila to help sustain functional literacy among Filipinos.

Limcaoco also emphasized the teaching of practical life skills and problem-solving skills in addition to literacy and numeracy.


Heritage literacy -- PIA Director General Conrado Limcaoco addresses participants of the recent National Literacy Conference at the Heritage Hotel in Manila. Limcaoco enjoined the participants comprised of DepEd supervisors nationwide to serve as effective advocates in sustaining the development of functional literacy in the country, focusing not only on literacy and numeracy but also on practical life skills and problem-solving skills.
