Statement of Secretary Ignacio R. Bunye: Re Pulse Asia surveys

Manila (22 November) -- The benefits of the economic turnaround will take a little while to flow down to the grassroots but we are making headway in that direction.

In the meantime, we are leaving the popularity contest to those seeking to project themselves for next year's polls.

The President is busy with her economic agenda and will not be distracted by the ups and downs of surveys. Her mission is clear: to draw in investments, create jobs and uplift the poor.

In the economic area especially in turning it around, nobody comes close to matching the record of this hardworking President.

Statement of Secretary Ignacio R. Bunye: Re Sunken vessel

The President has expressed concern about this unfortunate incident and has tasked the agencies concerned led by Task Force Guimaras to get to the bottom of it and to map out strategies to minimize any damaging effects to the community and the environment. (OPS/PIA) [top]
