Lagawe, Ifugao (8 December) -- To spur tourism investment opportunities and advancement in this province, the Provincial Tourism Office here joined the North Philippines International Tourism Fair on Nov. 24-26 bringing Ifugao’s grandeur and attractions of the rice terraces where business is possible.
But Ifugao attractions extend beyond the terraces, said Marieta Hangdaan, Tourism Officer here. Its forest-clad peaks, natural pools, cascading waterfalls, unexplored caves, unpolluted air and rivers and cultural festivals provide a restful refuge from the maddening crowd and the bustle of city life, she added.
Still we have taken this bold step to lure movers and innovators of the local and international tourism industry with what our province has to offer, Hangdaan said citing some of the attractions.
Ideal conference/hotel sites atop hills in the municipalities of Mayoyao, Aguinaldo, Hungduan, Hingyon and Asipulo surrounded by beautiful sights and surroundings with its cool winds that are conducive for concentrating tasks ahead.
The Municipalities of Hingyon and Lamut with wide and expansive hilltop locations offer areas for sports complexes, industrial centers, trading ports as well as research and development centers.
Also, placid and pristine lakes, waterfalls, natural springs and gurgling rivers surrounded by virgin forests make ideal resorts, picnic sites and even possible now is white water rafting destinations. These come aside from the other business opportunities, Hangdaan said.
‘This event has given us the opportunity with the on-site selling of travel products and services and hopeful that the opportunities we have to offer have come to the interest of some local and international guests we have attended to so that we can improve on employment and make commerce bustle in our province’, she explained.
