Latest PIA Photo Releases       «previous»  «next»   [120130-r2-dredging2] Channel Restoration of the Lower Cagayan River. Dr. Ferdinand Siringan, a geologist of UP Marine Science Institute is commissioned by the Cagayan provincial government to conduct a 3-month study on the state of the Cagayan river. He recommends selective dredging of the river as the siltation is heaviest from Lal-lo to the mouth of the Cagayan river. Multi-sectoral groups attend the public hearing. (PIA-2)
