(Download PDF announcement) Closing Date: COB November 16, 2009 Annual Salary: P946,043.00 Open to: Philippine nationals, expatriates residing in Manila and spouses of diplomatic staff with work permit Job Summary: Reporting to the Canada-based Deputy Management and Consular Officer (D/MCO): A) administers and controls the delivery of the Consular Assistance and Emergency Services Programs; B) oversees the consular services delivered by the Honorary Consul C) develops and maintains productive relationships with host authorities and organizations, and other diplomatic missions; D) provides legal and notarial services; E) administers the consular cost recovery programs; F) supervises locally-engaged consular service activities; and G) performs other duties Mandatory Requirements: Education Bachelors degree from a recognized university with a major in a discipline related to Consular work, public service, international relations, social work or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience Language Proficiency Fluency in Tagalog and one of Canada’s official languages (English or French) is required. Working knowledge of both Canada’s official languages is highly desirable. Experience - Experience in a private or government sector or an international organization relevant to this position;

- Experience in high-quality report/manual writing;
