Ifugao Treasurer’s Office requires provincial employees to secure CTC

LAGAWE, Ifugao, Jan. 6 (PIA) -- The Provincial Treasurer’s Office has directed all employees of the provincial government to secure their Community Tax Certificate (CTC) for calendar year 2012 from their respective barangays in order to generate revenues.

In a memorandum issued last Monday, all department heads of the provincial government and chiefs of hospitals in the province are mandated to require their respective personnel, whether permanent, casual , job order, to secure their CTC for this year.

The employees are requested to secure their CTC from the barangay where they reside so that 50% of the proceeds will accrue as an income to the host barangay.

“In this way, they will be helping their own respective barangays in the generation of revenue for more services in the grassroot,” the memorandum stated.

It furtherer stated that P5.00 will paid for the annual community tax plus annual additional tax of one peso for every P1,000 of income regardless of whether from business, exercise of profession, or from real property but in which no case shall exceed P5,000.

Morever, all municipal treasurers, cashiers /disbursing officers were likewise directed to require all contractors or suppliers to secure or present their CTC before payment/release of their checks or claims.(JDP/MBL – PIA CAR,Ifugao)
