Asipulo-LGU to give incentives to medalists in competitions

ASIPULO, Ifugao,Jan. 25 (PIA) -- The municipal officials here will give incentives to its bonafide residents who are awardees during provincial, regional or national competitions.

The officials led by Mayor Eladio Bang-ud and Vice mayor Tomas Pullupul believe that giving due recognition to the good performance of residents will encourage and motivate them more to enthusiastically pursue their field of interest such as sports.

“Athletics and other competitions greatly contribute in the well-rounded physical, mentaland social development of a person and further brining out the best potential in him,” Bang-ud said adding that it will also mold the youth to become responsible, empowered citizens and future leaders.

Achievers in competitions including athletic meets, division quiz bee skills Olympics and abilympics, boxing and other forms of martial arts, will receive the following incentives; Gold medalist-P1,000.00; silver medalist-P700.00, and bronze medalist-P500.00, Bang-ud said.

The incentive shall be given to each individual player be it an individual or team event.

Certificate or plaque of recognition shall also be given to the coach of the winning playeror contestant.

Incentives will be given during the annual town fiesta called Kulpid Asipulo.(JDP/VDB- PIACAR,Ifugao)
