Napiloy assumes as new Laoag PNP Chiefby Cherry Joy Discaya
LAOAG CITY, Dec. 15 (PIA) -– PSupt. Melvin G. Napiloy, a native from Cordillera assumed office today as the new Philippine National Police (PNP) chief of Laoag City.
In his speech during the turn-over ceremony, Napiloy expressed hope that the people of Laoag will support and help him in the implementation of programs of the PNP.
Napiloy, a former Regional Investigation Division Officer of the Police regional office in San Fernando City, La Union stressed the importance of the Police Patrol Integration System, Motor Anti-Street crime operations, and Laban sa Droga programs of the PNP-Laoag.
He gave assurance to the people that these programs will continue and he will intensify their implementation.
Napiloy also assured to work for the betterment of Laoag City, as he laid down his proposed programs to strengthen the police visibility and credibility in the city by bringing their services to the local bodies.
“Gusto ko na ang kapulisan mismo ang pupunta sa mga barangay para tanungin sa mga opisyales doon ang mga problema para mabigyan ng agarang solusyon (I want our police to be the one to go the barangays to ask officials about the problems and give immediate solution)” said Napilon.
Outgoing PNP Chief PSupt. Sterling Raymund P. Blanco, who will be assigned to the Ilocos Norte police provincial office located at Camp Capt. Valentin S. Juan, here also thanked the people for their trust and support during his administration.
Laoag City Mayor Michael V. Farinas appreciated the programs of the PNP and asked Napiloy to continue his predecessor’s programs and projects to come up with similar programs in support to the city’s priorities. (ANL/CJD-PIA 1 Ilocos Norte)
