PIA Press Release Monday, November 15, 2010CESOs gather for annual conferenceLaoag, Ilocos Norte (November 15) - Career Executive Service Officers (CESOs) from around the country will once again gather together for the 9th Annual CES Conference. Some 662 delegates will attend the three-day conference, from November 17 to 19, 2010, at the Fort Ilocandia Hotel in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. Commissioner Francisco Duque III, CSC chair and vice-chair of the CES governing board; Maria Anthonette Allones, executive director of the CES board ,and Bernardo Abesamis, chair of the CES governing board will lead the participants from regional associations, agency associations, and the National Executive Board. The theme for this year’s conference will be “Serbisyong CESO: Pamumunong Tapat, Magaling at Wasto (Modernong Gobyerno, Makakalikasang Progreso, Makataong Pagbabago).” Some of the highlights of the event will be the presentation of 2010 Gawad CES honorees and the MOA signing to launch public-private partnerships on executive development. Furthermore, the newly elected NUCESO officers and 2010 CES eligible will be inducted. CESOs will also be attending daily lectures on Public Sector Productivity and Innovation; Green Growth amidst Climate Change Challenges; Leadership, Governance and Technology in the Information Age; Effective Stewardship; Managing Change; and Good Health for Effective Leadership. Ilocos Norte Governor Imee R. Marcos will welcome the guests, as they will be treated to Ilocano hospitality and culture. |
