PIA Press Release Wednesday, November 10, 2010Special operations training seminar opens San Fernando, Pampanga (November 9) - The Regional Public Safety Battalion 3, under the supervision of PSSupt. Reyland Malenab opened the Special Operation Training (SOT) Seminar in this city. This is in connection with the implementation of EO 546 which mandates the Philippine National Police (PNP) to undertake active support to the Philippine Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in internal security operations for the suppression of insurgency. Main task then shall be undertaken through the intensification of information, dissemination, and establishment of counter organization. The objective of the course is to enhance the skills of the men and women of the PNP in dealing with people from all walks of life, to hear out their sentiments, to know what agitates them, and to win them back to the government’s perspective of things and “to subdue the enemy without the use of armed battle”. This seminar will have instructors from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Commission on Human Rights, and other guest instructors from the PNP. |
