PIA Press Release Friday, November 19, 2010Horse Festival at Clark FreeportClark Freeport (November 19) - The 2nd annual Clark Freeport horse festival is all systems go which is scheduled on Nov. 27 and 28 at Clark Freeport Zone.The Horsefest ’10 aims to promote business and tourism in the country and to position Clark Freeport as a choice to host various events and as an ideal competition area and family getaway tourist destination. More than 30 thoroughbreds are expected to join the parade in Clark from El Kabayo to the parade grounds during the two day event. Sports enthusiasts, celebrities, and known famous horse breeders and owners in the country are expected to attend the event. There will be new fun events that have been prepared including various horse disciplines and competitions, parades, product and service promotions, food and cooking assortments, as well as other entertainments, exhibitions, presentations among others with special participation of Mad Dog Motorcycle Club, Inc. (MADDOG) – Poker Run. The event is supported by the Association of Clark Horsemen, Inc. (ACHI) and the Greater Clark Visitors Bureau (GCVB) in collaboration with Clark Development Corporation (CDC), Clark Freeport Tourism Association (CFTA), Clark El Kabayo, Department of Tourism in Region III, Tourism Councils of Angeles and Mabalacat, North Phiippines Visitors Bureau (NPVB), and Manila North Tollways Corporation, Gabby Lao, owner of El Kabayo,said that horse enthusiasts from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Japan and Hong Kong are expected to join the country’s biggest horsefest in Clark. Among the highlights of the event are the grand horse parade, mounted games, polo event, harness/tillbury races, mini cross-country, carriage rides, motorcycle, motorbikes & mopeds competition and exhibition, western style cooking, trade fair, and carnival & food festivals. |
