PNP-Caraga to intensify police visibility

BUTUAN CITY, Jan. 11 (PIA) -- There will be intensified police visibility in Caraga region.

This is according to Police Regional Office (PRO) Caraga Regional Director Reynaldo Rafal.

Rafal said police personnel need to be visible especially in crime-prone areas.

The official also said that the PNP will look into holdup-robbery incidents early this year, and provide immediate solution to these.

He also said in an earlier discussion with Butuan City Mayor Ferdinand Amante, Jr., they agreed that the PNP Regional Office will augment the number of police personnel in Butuan City Police Office (BCPO) to see to it that police visibility will be properly implemented.

“Nag-usap na kami ni Mayor Ferdinand Amante, Jr. tungkol dito para ma-improve natin ang police visibility sa area (We have discussed this matter with Mayor Ferdinand Amante, Jr. to improve police visibility in some areas here)," Rafal said.

The region’s PNP chief also said that a reliable source told him that the city government will be donating electricity-driven cars for police mobilization.

“I’ve heard that the city government will be donating electricity-driven cars for police visibility and to counter motorcycle riding in tandem suspects,” the official said.

With this, the official said police personnel can run after those suspects which continuously proliferating and victimizing not only people from the city but as well as visitors. (PIA-Caraga)
