Tagalog news: 300 senior citizens nakinabang sa medical mission ng Rotary Club

ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal, Jan. 3 (PIA) -- May 300 residente ng Sitio Cul de Sac, San Isidro kabilang ang mga senior citizens ang nakinabang sa medical mission na inorganisa ng Rotary International District 3800 at ng Rotary Club (RC) of Antipolo Centro katuwang ang Unilab at Tierra Pharma kamakailan.

Sinabi ni Randy Mandap, pangulo ng RC Antipolo Centro, na ang medical mission ay bahagi ng kanilang social services na naglalayong matulungan ang mga nakatatanda na walang kakayahang pinansiyal na makapagpagamot.

“Napagkasunduan ng aming grupo na pagkalooban ng tulong medikal ang mga senior citizens na hindi nabibigyan ng panahon. Napakalaking tulong para sa kanila ang medical facilities na dala namin tulad ng mobile X-ray,” ayon kay Mandap.

Maliban sa X-ray, kasama rin sa serbisyong medikal ang libreng check-up, cholesterol at blood sugar test, ECG at nagkaroon din ng feeding para sa mga matatanda.

Samantala, lubos ang naging pasasalamat ni Dalig Barangay Captain Jojo Salen sa proyekto ng Rotary Club. Ito rin ay nagpasalamat sa suporta ng pamahalaang lunsod upang matulungan ang kanyang nasasakupan lalo na sa kalusugan. (Carlo P. Gonzaga, PIA4A at ulat mula sa PIO-Antipolo)
