Calabarzon cops intensifies police visibility to deter criminality

CANLUBANG, Calamba City, Jan. 11 (PIA) -- Camp Vicente Lim, Laguna Police Regional Office Region 4-A concurrent with its mission and functions will undertake a concerted effort and aggressive foot patrol/police visibility to reduce if not eliminate crime incidents within the immediate vicinity of the region (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon)

Regional Director Chief Supt. Gil Meneses said the influx of people and increase of economic activities in urban areas during the forthcoming months, are expected specifically the recent months and January of this year 2012.

At this time of the year, he said, criminal elements usually take advantage of the situation to carry out their nefarious activities.

Deployment of men and women of PRO CALABARZON who are assigned with admin duties in the regional headquarters offices will be utilized to provide police visibility in specific crime prone area from 8am to 10am and from 3pm to 5pm every day of the recent months of November, December up to January 31, 2012 excluding Saturday and Sundays.

The total administrative personnel strength of the RHQ were divided into two shifts whereby 50 percent in the morning will perform their respective duties and the other 50 percent in the afternoon duties.

The purpose of this OPLAN sets forth the guidelines on the conduct of mobile patrol and or foot patrol (police visibility) by all administrative personnel of the PRO CALABARZON in crime prone areas within the city or municipality where their respective headquarters are located.
