PIA Press Release Monday, January 30, 2012PNP-Laguna launches 'Oplan: Angry Bird'SANTA CRUZ, Laguna, January 30 (PIA) --The provincial government of Laguna and the Philppine National Police (PNP) launched recently at Camp Gen. Paciano Rizal, their anti- criminality campaign dubbed "Oplan: Angry Bird ".The anti-criminality campaign strategy with a program slogan “Walang Personalan, Trabaho Lang” aims to maintain security, peace and order and public safety in the Province of Laguna by neutralizing organized crime groups, drug personalities, loose firearms and wanted persons with the help of volunteers, barangay police force and the municipal/city police force. The province- wide anti-criminality operation with simultaneous raids and searches has resulted to the issuance of warrant of arrest to a total of 205 wanted persons; arrest of the most wanted criminals; capture of drug related criminals; confiscation of loose firearms and deadly weapons, illegal drugs, and other criminal paraphernalia. Laguna Governor Jeorge "E.R." Ejercito Estregan and PNP Provincial Director PSr/Supt. Gilberto DC.
