Business incubation program for Quezon small entrepreneurs, set for launching in February

    PAGBILAO, Quezon, Jan. 31 (PIA) -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Quezon Provincial Office, Quezon National Agricultural School (QNAS) and the Quezon Micro Small and Medium Enterprise Development Council will launch a business incubation program intended for small entrepreneurs on February 9 at QNAS function hall, Barangay Silangang Malicboy, this town.
    Pablito Budoy of DTI - Quezon said that they have availed P1 million from the BMBE development fund to purchase equipment to be used for business incubation program. (+)

Quezon agriculture office holds upland rice management training

    LUCENA CITY, Quezon, Jan. 30 (PIA) -- To promote and develop the technology on upland rice farming, the provincial government through the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) conducted “upland rice production management training” January 26-27 at Ouan’s Worth Farm, this city.
    OPA Information Officer Cristina Lucila said the traning was participated by agriculture extension workers, farmer leader and municipal agriculturist from different towns of Quezon province. (+)

PNP-Laguna launches 'Oplan: Angry Bird'

    SANTA CRUZ, Laguna, January 30 (PIA) --The provincial government of Laguna and the Philppine National Police (PNP) launched recently at Camp Gen. Paciano Rizal, their anti- criminality campaign dubbed "Oplan: Angry Bird ".
    The anti-criminality campaign strategy with a program slogan “Walang Personalan, Trabaho Lang” aims to maintain security, peace and order and public safety in the Province of Laguna by neutralizing organized crime groups, drug personalities, loose firearms and wanted persons with the help of volunteers, barangay police force and the municipal/city police force. La Laguna Festival 2012, slated April 20-29

    SANTA CRUZ, Laguna, Jan. 30 (PIA) -- The 26 towns and four component cities of Laguna will unite again as all manifested to participate in the 2nd La Laguna Festival to be held this year under the leadership of Governor Jeorge Ejercito Estregan.
    It was learned that as early as January, the provincial government of Laguna already announced the target date of the most anticipated festival in the province, the La Laguna Festival. Provincial Administrator Atty. Leonardo M. Ragaza, Jr., said the festivities is set April 20 - 29 , 2012 at the provincial capitol ground here. (+)
